First of all, I take no sides in this. I recently read a thread about an individual who wanted the site name, DeviantArt to be changed because it associated with obscene images and sexual images. "It wasn't the ideal which DeviantART was built." The dictionary meaning of Deviant is

"Differing from a norm or from the accepted standards of a society."

I think this defines me as well, I don't care what people think of me, I know I'm different, I try to be different so I don't fit into some kind of group. People see me as a goth. Ask me if I care.

"One that differs from a norm, especially a person whose behavior and attitudes differ from accepted social standards."

I like to be different from the norm, I go againest what is right and wrong sometimes. I may not be accepted cause I'm different. I think differently, I have different views, ideas, and creativity. I don't like to take sides in stuff like this, but the individual who created the thread, I am being drawed into a belief of his. Censorship is another thing, I'm not going to get into it though cause its not a big part of this deviation.

This is to tell people the meaning of Deviant, why its the site name, maybe why it should be changed. This site is for those people and artists who want to show there work, if its accepted or not, they want to show it to the world. Works should not be censored, the site name Deviant means to be different and go againest rules of "the norm". But how can we be deviants if we are censored. I guess the creators of this site don't believe in the site name, DeviantART. They are censoring our creativity and not letting us be what this site was made for. Its to put up work, but also to let us speak in our own way. But thats just what I beleive, I will probably get people who disagree with me on something of this and people who agree with some of this. I don't care, I'm just putting up what I beleive. And again, I did look at it from different views, Epiphyte78 was a big help in this deviation. I give him credit for a few quotes in this peice.
